Jason Crabb, Grammy-winning Christian artist, will perform at Harvest Christian Centre on Saturday, September 10, at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Serenity HospiceCare, a spiritually-based, non-profit hospice organization that has served patients and families in the area since 1989.
Crabb has earned 21 Dove Awards, including Artist, Male Vocalist and Song of the Year. His musical career began with his siblings as a member of the Crabb family, and he launched his first solo album in 2009. His latest album, Whatever the Road, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top Christian and Gospel Albums chart.
Serenity HospiceCare’s Director of Marketing, Chelley Odle, will perform that evening as the opening act for Jason. Chelley was recently titled the CCMNOW Christian Country Music Female Vocalist of the Year for the seventh year in a row. Her first radio single, “GOD Is in Control,” became a No. 5 hit on the Inspirational Country Charts in 2008, and she released her sophomore project entitled “Incredible Love” in 2012.
“It is always an honor to share the stage with Jason Crabb,” said Odle. “He is more than an amazing artist and singer; he is an amazing person as well. Those who attend this fundraiser concert will not be disappointed! As the opening act, it is my good pleasure to donate my gifts for such a worthy cause.”
“As the Director of Marketing for Serenity HospiceCare, we want to have a fundraiser that depicts who we are as a company, as well as, provide the community a night of positive, uplifting music,” she said.
Odle says Serenity HospiceCare is a nonprofit, independent company and is raising funds for those that cannot afford hospice care at the end of life.
“This organization never turns anyone away for the inability to pay, and we are able to do that because of the generosity of donors and people who support events just like this concert.”
Western & Southern Life is partnering with Serenity HospiceCare to host the concert to promote community support and awareness of the organization’s mission.
“When I was approached for the opportunity to sponsor this fundraiser for Serenity HospiceCare, it was an easy decision for me,” said Mike Golterman, Western & Southern Life Agency Manager. “I have had an opportunity to watch personally what a difference hospice care can make through my own family. Western & Southern Life is looking forward to an eventful evening and hopefully many in the community will be able to join us.”
Top-level sponsors of the concert include Western & Southern Life, Culver’s, Home Pools & Spas and The Oasis Christian Bookstore.
Tickets are available for purchase at Serenity HospiceCare, The Oasis Christian Bookstore and Harvest Christian Centre. Tickets are $15 through August 27. Beginning August 28, tickets can be purchased for $20.
